Regulation Families

Use

For organizational reasons or to reduce the effort of classification changes, it may be necessary or desired to differentiate the standard process of dangerous goods classification. For example, the business process for processing dangerous goods classification and its assignment to real substances and materials can be organized locally such that different groups of persons are responsible for different legal areas. You can support such scenarios by grouping regulations in regulation families.

Features

In the standard delivery, all of the regulations are located together under the value assignment Dangerous Goods Classification on the Transport Classification tab. The regulation families function gives you the option of using value assignments that you create, for example, GEFAHRGUTKLASSIFIZIERUNG_EUROPA or GEFAHRGUTKLASSIFIZIERUNG_USA, to split up the set of regulations.

Activities

In Customizing for Basic Data and Tools, process the Specification Database Structure activity and create your own value assignment types that you assign to new property trees for dangerous goods classifications.
In Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management, assign the individual regulations the corresponding value assignment type in the Value Assignment Type field of the detail views of the Specify Dangerous Goods Regulations activity.
Create dangerous goods classifications for the individual dangerous goods regulation families.
